Comedy Genre Definitions

Nuts Buddy
Comedy

The curtain should be pulled back as much as possible. So you see the stuff beyond where we usually go—and sometimes it's pretty brutal. I may show more than I should.

We all have friends. Friends are how you grow up, how you form. They're the ones you do the really big, important stuff with—the moments no one sees except the two or four of you. So I leave it to the movies.

Extra Nuts
Comedy

We should go for the kind of uncontrollable laughter that gets you thrown off an airplane.

This genre is built around big performances, big characters, and big dialogue.

Extreme isn't enough.

Nuts Romantic Comedy

Love is one of the few things in life that's endlessly complicated, and that's probably a good thing. It allows for an enormous range of storytelling—and plenty of opportunities to get run over by a literal freight train that hits you like nothing else. So you leave the theatre changed; you need help getting out.

And boy, is love funny. That should never be wasted.
